Recycling
Keytec Industries, an Axminster (Devon) based firm, have extended their recycling project that is helping the environment. More firms and residents are urged to recycle their used ink and toner cartridges from computer printers, fax machines and photocopiers in order to try to curb the excesses of waste disposal and reduce the need for valuable land fill space.
Keytec Industries has set up collection points around the South West of England, Wales and Scotland for use by the general public.

It is very difficult to imagine the space needed at a land-fill site to accommodate the large numbers of empty cartridges. Most people are alarmed when they learn that you could cover a football pitch several times a day with empty cartridges from Europe alone or fill the Cobb harbour in Lyme Regis in just over a week (See picture).
